Yoga cleanses the body of impurities: physically, mentally, and spiritually. By spirit I mean, breath, and it is always there providing us with inspiration. Through the practice of yoga you become aware of your own body and, in a sense, become your own teacher. The awareness you gain through your yoga practice brings you closer to health and integration.
In my classes, I play the role of teacher and then the role of a guide to assist students in finding the right yoga for their bodies. The ‘right’ yoga is a way of moving and breathing that is natural and efficient, not habitual, and one that will keep you curious. I teach beginners the essential tools to build themselves a safe yoga practice and more experienced students a way to maintain a practice that is rich and alive.
We have three friends: gravity, breath, and wave (connected with the supple movement of extension along the spine). These three companions (fused) should be constantly with us.
